Our Process
Our products are grown in North Georgia and are among the most beautiful, colorful, and healthy lettuces on the market. Hydroponic growing makes it possible to grow lettuce and other produce that is clean, safe, and highly nutritious.
The process begins with planting seeds in peat plugs and inserting them into Styrofoam rafts that are placed on a float-bed with clean water below.
Several steps of inspection are performed to ensure proper growth and making a final great product. Rafts are maneuvered into new positions at they complete their growth cycle.
Irrigation and lighting are two areas that provide control over product quality. Lighting is worry-free for the most part as long as there's electricity and good bulbs, everything works as it should. Irrigation is frequently checked and repaired as needed.
Nutrients are added to the irrigation water to strengthen the plants. No pesticides, fungicides, or other chemicals are used.
When plants are a maturity, they are carefully removed from the float-beds and carried to the inspection area. Roots are cut from the bottoms of the rafts. A careful visual inspection begins.
Products are then separated and bagged to order, packaged, labeled, and ready for delivery to you—fresh and ready to enjoy!
